Martin is an expert in basin and petroleum systems analysis and modelling, play assessment
and resource estimation. Prior to joining Ucon4D, he worked for 10 years as a geologist with
Schlumberger, where he was involved in the development of Petrel and PetroMod software, also
performing numerous training sessions and case studies. Martin holds a PhD from RWTH Aachen
University ("Structural restoration and basin and petroleum systems modelling") and is
Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College London (
http://www.imperial.ac.uk/people/m.neumaier). At
Imperial, Martin is involved in the onshore UK shale resource assessment multi-year
project, co-supervises PhD and MSc projects and teaches BPSM at the Petroleum Geosciences
MSc. He also contributes to various MSc modules at other universities (University of
Montpellier, University of Namibia).
